The danger with these synthetic drug mixes

Most of us are aware of the risks around drugs, and even the drugs which are thought to be 'less dangerous' carry risks that people should be aware of.  However in some cases the original forms of these drugs, whilst dangerous, carry fewer risks than the synthetic versions that often come to the market.  In response to government policies on drugs and for financial reasons, some dealers are now making their own brands of drugs, some even using home based materials, to sell to their consumers.

Unfortunately the danger with these synthetic mixes is that rarely do people really know what is in them, and even if they do, often they are created without thought for any chemical reactions that could occur, or the potential harm to health.  One form of synthetic marijuana that is available in the US has found to be extremely dangerous with thousands of people ending up in hospital after only one use (DrugFree, 2012).  Symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, skin rashes and uncontrolled body twitches or seizures, are common results of synthetic marijuana, and they can have long lasting and serious implications for an individuals health.

Reports such as this show how many drug dealers are concerned only with the financial benefits that selling drugs has for them, and have no concern for the well being of their consumers.  In order to defend against such dangers, the best advice is for an individual to seek help for their drug addiction, either through detox or rehab, and become free from the clutches of dangerous substances, environments and people.
